Chapter Officers | Term 2025 - 2027
Clairissa Maples
Hi everyone! I’m Clair Maples, and I’m excited to serve as your Chapter President. I have three GSPs–Sally, Cruse, and Sloan–and I’ve been a NAVHDA member since 2020. I’ve participated in and volunteered at tests ranging from Natural Ability through the Invitational level, and I’ve served as your Fall Test Secretary for the past three years.
I’m passionate about versatile hunting dogs, thoughtful training, and building a chapter that’s welcoming, educational, and fun for handlers at every stage — from brand new members to seasoned test veterans. NAVHDA has been a huge part of my growth as a handler and dog owner, and I’m committed to strengthening our training opportunities, supporting our volunteers, and continuing to grow a community rooted in good dogs, good people, and good sportsmanship. I’m looking forward to a great year ahead and to working alongside all of you. Please reach out if you need anything!
President
Carson Cansler
Hello! I’m Carson Cansler, and I’m proud to serve as your Chapter Treasurer for the upcoming training season. I have three Small Munsterlanders — Tessa, Bonnie, and Moxie. I’ve been a chapter member since 2023 and previously served as Chapter Secretary, as well as a Utility and Invitational Gunner.
As a versatile hunting dog breeder, I value NAVHDA for the vital role it plays in evaluating breeding prospects, tracking progeny, and upholding a high, consistent standard for our dogs. That said, the greatest benefit of being part of a local NAVHDA chapter is the community it creates. Strangers become friends, and friends become family. I’m truly grateful for those who have invested their time and knowledge into helping me grow as a trainer and dog owner. I look forward to paying that forward by helping our members reach their training goals and building new friendships along the way.
Treasurer
Vice President
Isaiah Irby
Hey Y’all, I am Isaiah Irby. I’m happy to continue serving as your chapter Vice President. I have two pudelpointers Maggie and Clay with another pudelpointer puppy planning to arrive this spring. I have been involved with OK-NAVHDA for the past 5 years and have run dogs in natural ability, utility, and invitational levels. Additionally, I have served as utility and invitational gunner along with volunteering in many supporting roles for testing weekends.
I'm looking forward to another successful year of training, testing, and building a community around bird dogs. I’m eager to support the goals of the chapter to build a foundation for growth as well as individual training goals y’all have. NAVHDA has been a focal point in my life over the last few years and has played a vital role in my success both personally and for my kennel so I'm excited to pay it forward so the same opportunities that were afforded to me are there for our members. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything throughout the year!

Blake Robbins
Hi! I’m Blake Robbins, your 2026 OK NAVDHA Secretary. I am a graduate student at Oklahoma State University studying animal science. I have a one year old small munterlander named Teddy. While I am relatively new to the NAVHDA world, I am very excited to serve our chapter in this capacity. I have ran Teddy in his NA test and served as a Utility Gunner.
I became involved in NAVDHA through an invitation to a training day shortly after getting my puppy. I was overwhelmed by the wealth of knowledge and willingness of other members to help me expose my dog to birds, encourage him in water work, and share insights in training. In the short time I have been involved, NAVHDA has given me so much and I hope to be able to provide the same experience to others. Thank you for this opportunity and I look forward to seeing you at training and testing dates this spring!
