Steadiness Training

In the January issue of the VHD magazine there is a very good article on steadiness training by Bob Farris. Worth a read if you haven't already.

For those of you that are getting ready for steadiness training this spring I'd suggest familiarizing your self with several different methods then choosing one that suits your situation and training arrangement.

It's that time of year again. My shotgun was cleaned and put in the safe for the year.  I'm looking forward to spending Saturday mornings working with dogs.  Now that Mitch and Jack have NA behind them, we are all 3 working on UT.  We have 21 birds and counting to work with.  I plan on making some training days here and there.  This should be another fun off season.

For those wanting to move forward towards the UT Test I would recommend developing a good duck search before working to much steadiness in the field...JMO
